Dehydration happens when your body doesn’t have as much water as it needs and in turn your body can’t function properly. One can have a mild, moderate or severe dehydration depending on how much fluid the body lacks.

Although, it is normal to lose water from your body every day by sweating, urinating, pooping and through tears and saliva. Usually you replace the lost liquid by drinking enough water and eating foods that contain water. If you lose too much water or don’t drink and eat enough, you can get dehydrated.

Dehydration can be caused by any of the following:

Tendency to avoid drinking water due to lack of access to safe drinking.

lack of thirsty feeling due to cold weather,

Hiking or walking for long distance in hot weather conditions,

severe diarrhea excessive consumption of tobacco or alcohol etc.

The signs of severe dehydration include:

Not urinating or having very dark yellow urine, suken eyes, Sleepiness lack of energy, confusion or irritability, very dry skin and rapid breathing.
A person suffering from dehydration has the following symptoms:
Extreme thirst, dryness of the mouth and skin, Headache, less frequent urination, Dizziness, General weakness or fatigue, pale face and suken eyes among others.

The prevention for dehydration which is crucial include:
